VICE CHANCELLOR RECEIVES DELEGATIONS OF NON-ACADEMIC DIRECTORS, PROFESSORS, COEASU AND BURSARY DEPARTMENT
On Monday, November 17, 2025, delegations of Non-Academic Directors, Professors, members of executive of COEASU and staff members of the bursary department, Federal University of Education, Kontagora, visited the newly appointed substantive Vice-Chancellor, Professor Faruk Rashid Haruna, in his office. The purpose of their visit was to convey their heartfelt congratulations and express their support for his appointment. The first set of the Non-Academic Directors who visited the Vice-Chancellor included:

1) Director of Information and Protocol - Mr Andrew Ibrahim;

2) Director of Procurement - Alhaji Suleiman Ibrahim Omeiza;

3) Director of Works- Engr A. O. Alao;

4) Director of Medical Services - Dr Abiodun Abraham;

5) Director, Nurses - Alhaji Mohammed Alkali;

6) Director of Audit - Hajiya Zuwaira Anache;
The Vice Chancellor was in the company with the Registrar of the University, Barr ( Mrs ) Aisha Yakubu Bukar, and the Bursar, Alhaji Awwalu Mamman K.K.

During the visit, the delegations articulated their confidence in the leadership of Professor Faruk Rashid Haruna and promised to support him to achieve his vision for the University. They expressed optimism in his leadership and stated that they were eager to work closely with the Vice-Chancellor to elevate the University's standard and reputation in the educational sector.

Appreciating the different delegates, the Vice-Chancellor extended a warm welcome to them and expressed gratitude for their support and unity within the institution. He reassured the professors of his commitment to academic excellence and improving the overall welfare of staff and students. He added that he would ensure that the academic programmes of the University were enhanced while fostering research and improving campus facilities.

The Vice-Chancellor called on the delegates to rise up to their responsibilities as they were no longer working in a College of Education but a University. He said that they should instil discipline and respect in their staff.
